Abdul-Majeed Iddrisu Nassam, popularly known as Majeed Dokurgu, is a native of Effia-Kuma Zongo. He was born and raised by Alhaji Iddrisu Nassam Dokurgu and Hajia Amisheitu Iddrisu.

He began his basic education at Al-Hazaria English and Arabic School and Nana Brempong Yaw Complex JSS, and later attended Takoradi Secondary School (TADISCO).

Majeed holds an HND in Accounting from Tamale Polytechnic and a BSc in Accounting from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). He also has two Master’s degrees in Finance and Agribusiness from GIMPA and Audencia University, Nantes – France, respectively. He is a student member of the Ghana Institute of Bankers.

He has extensive professional experience, having worked with leading local and international institutions including Ghana Commercial Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Ecobank Ghana, and the African Development Bank (Nigeria).

Majeed is the Founder and CEO of Indofarm Ghana Limited, Sumaj Glorious Ventures, and El-Shaddai Builders and Construction Limited, and also serves as the Country Operations Manager of Go-Africa International LLC, a New York-based agricultural commodities trading company.

In 2024, he was the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Effia Constituency. He currently serves as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly, where he continues to champion inclusive development and effective local governance.

He is a family man, married with five biological children and four adopted children
